Shwe Taung Thu farmers group, which translates to ‘Golden Farmer’, is made up of Danu and Pa-O smallholder farmers based in various villages across Ywangan region who produce natural processed specialty coffees.

The Lady Specialty Coffee
Ywangan, Shan State, Myanmar
The Lady Specialty Coffee was created by two innovators of Myanmar’s specialty coffee scene, Su Nandar Linn and Thi Ha Gyawalie who wanted to improve the livelihoods of female coffee farmers in Ywangan. Their coffees are produced exclusively by women and they now work with over 400 female producers across the region.

Mandalay Coffee Group

Mandalay Coffee Group was established in 2014 and is owned and operated by citizens of Myanmar, many of whom have been involved in Mynanmar’s coffee industry for over 30 years. Cherries are purchased from both smallholder farmers in Ywangan and estate producers in Mandalay region , with processing taking place at their facility just outside Pyin Oo Lwin.

Green Land Estate
Pyin Oo Lwin, Mandalay Divison, Myanmar
Green Land estate lies on the road between Pyin Oo Lwin and Mogok, near the border of Mandalay Division and Northern Shan State and is one of the largest arabica plantations in the country (around 450 acres) . Led by U Sai Wan, a leading figure in Myanmar’s specialty coffee industry, he also plays a key role in Myanmar Coffee Association, alongside his position as Sales Director at Mandalay Coffee Group.
